Who we are looking for

Our new teammate should have Node.js + TypeScript in their DNA, with a strong focus on building technical solutions that directly impact the product.

You’ll start in our CORE team, and once you’ve completed your onboarding period, you’ll move to the project team that best fits your skills and interests.

We like to work well, not just fast at any cost. And always aligned with the technologies and decisions we make together as a team. That’s why we’re looking for someone who:

• Designs and implements RESTful APIs with solid technical judgment and long-term vision.
  
• Builds and maintains decoupled services within a microservices-oriented architecture.
  
• Works with containers using Docker and deploys to Kubernetes, both in development and production.
  
• Is comfortable in cloud environments (we use AWS) and has real hands-on experience with services such as EC2, RDS, S3 or CloudWatch.
  
• Implements Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, or at least understands its philosophy and usage.
  
• Works with real CI/CD pipelines, from commit to deployment (we use GitHub Actions and Jenkins depending on the project).
  
• Has experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka or SQS).

• Prioritizes observability and knows how to monitor with key metrics to understand how developments perform in production.
  
• Thinks in terms of team and product, not just individual technical tasks.Actively participates in technical decisions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

We’ll value especially if you…

• Have been involved in designing projects from scratch that went to production (and are still running).
  
• Care about technical quality, scalability, performance and continuous improvement.
  
• Have real experience with automated testing (unit, integration, E2E).
  
• See infrastructure as part of the product, not as “something another team handles.”

• With a DevOps mindset: teams are responsible for the full product lifecycle, from development to monitoring in production (depending on experience).
  
• With automated CI/CD pipelines and frequent deployments.
  
• With real observability: dashboards and alerts that help us sleep well at night.
  
• With space to propose ideas, make mistakes, learn and grow.
  
• In collaborative teams, organized by functionality and focused on delivering business value (Spotify model).

What you’ll be doing day to day at Avantio

• Design, develop, deploy, maintain, monitor and evolve backend services and their supporting tools.
  
• Identify, propose and implement improvements to existing components, services and systems.
  
• Design and implement scalable, sustainable and innovative architectures.
  
• Define metrics and develop ways to improve them.
  
• Document and design processes, as well as update existing ones.Join brainstorms on new ideas and ways to improve delivery and product quality.
  
• Produce clean, consistent and well-structured code, following best practices in development and deployment.
  
• Add value by supporting all team members at Avantio, fostering an environment where knowledge flows freely.
