Who we are looking for

Our new teammate should have Node.js + TypeScript in their DNA, with a strong focus on building technical solutions that directly impact the product.

We like to work well, not just fast at any cost.

That’s why we’re looking for someone who:

• Adds new endpoints and maintains existing ones in our RESTful APIs, following the best practices and patterns we use in the team.
  
• Implements new features and fixes bugs in our existing microservices, aligned with our guidelines and standards.
  
• Has knowledge of Docker and is eager to learn more about orchestration with Kubernetes.
  
• Has had some exposure to cloud environments (we use AWS) and wants to dive deeper into services like EC2, S3 or RDS.
  
• Is curious about Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and open to learning the philosophy behind tools like Terraform.
  
• Understands the importance of CI/CD and is comfortable with Git-based workflows.
  
• Is interested in event-driven architectures and keen to learn about messaging systems (like RabbitMQ or SQS).
  
• Can contribute to application monitoring and wants to learn more about key metrics and observability.
  
• Enjoys working in a team, is proactive, and cares about understanding how their work impacts the product.
  
• Actively participates in code reviews, learning from others and improving the overall software quality.
  

We’ll value especially if you…

• Have developed a personal, academic, or professional project from scratch.
  
• Follow clean code principles and are eager to learn about best practices for building quality software.
  
• Have written unit tests in some of your projects and understand why automated testing is important.
  
• See infrastructure as an integral part of the product, not something handled by another team.

What you’ll be doing day to day at Avantio

• Develop new features and maintain existing services, with the support of your team.
  
• Produce clean, consistent and well-structured code, following our development best practices.
  
• Help identify and fix bugs or issues in the platform.
  
• Write tests to ensure the quality of the code you deliver.
  
• Learn and apply our architecture and design patterns in your daily tasks.
  
• Document the features you build, so knowledge is shared.
  
• Participate in team meetings, contributing your perspective and learning from technical discussions.
  
• Actively learn from your teammates and contribute to a positive team environment.
